Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law!
One of the first things that pulled me to the warm stories and folklore of Hinduism, were the stories of Kali Ma and Shiva. I love those stories very much and much of my life has been shaped by them.
However, after reading a lot lately and feeling a major shift occur in my being, I feel a new reverence for the job of Vishnu (The Preserver).
While Brahma creates, and Shiva destroys, it is ultimately the task of Vishnu to harmonize them both.
If you create and create, without discretion, the world becomes very polluted.
If you destroy and destroy, all one sees is death and all shall die.
Sometimes creation is needed to make room for a death (fitting on this day, the Day of "Death" ATU XIII, the Path of Nun).
Sometimes death is needed to remove the weeds from the Garden.
In all of this, the right balance must be weighed so that one does not out-do the other.
If you do not stop pouring water, you will flood your cup. You must balance the stopping with the brim of the cup.
Too little water leaves you thirsty, too much and you need a mop.
Brahma and Shiva are excellent and needed, but I see them as aspects to the real task of Equilibrium.
One must balance opposites and bring them into union.
This is the job of Vishnu.
These three Gunas: Rajas (Creation), Sattvas (Preservation), and Tamas (Destruction) all exist inside the One.
This One is Krishna.
We must all seek to possess the Balance of Equilibrium and be our OWN Krishna. Our OWN Ultimate Godhead.
Love is the law, love under will.

An Understanding Beyond Most
While I was drawing "Awakening" (which only took about an hour and a half), I was listening to "Soldier Side" by System of a Down. At first the lyrics sound just like regular weird System lyrics; once you listen to it and hear the pain in the voices of these men, you realize it is something much more serious.
Without delving into what already has been (The Armenian Genocide), I will focus on the lyrics.
The lyrics speak of "Welcome to the Solider Side, where there's no one here but me". When you FEEL what he is saying, you realize he is speaking how soliders look at the world. The soliders who wake up as to how horrible war really is, and w

Destiny will find a way...
I'm sitting here...After a therapeutic adventure...
My mind has reeled...My heart sunk and soared...
I feel so...multi-dimensional...I feel so...
I feel like I'm living my Past, Present and can see a stream into the Future...
Like looking down a dark hallway...only the lights are coming on, one by one...and I see people darting across the rooms of the hall...
With a smile...so wide...a relief of stress and kiss of a tear...
...I smile and say...."OK!....."
With my heart so full of gaiety...about to burst....
I look at everything around me...I look at every situation around me...
At all that I could lose...
And I smile and say.......
